A warm welcome to Zadar

Design apartments in Zadar.
Little details, a lot of heart.

Bubamara means ladybug — a little symbol of good luck in Croatia. I'm Ivana, and I built these two apartments the way I'd want to arrive somewhere myself: everything working, nothing fussy, and enough plants to make a room feel lived in.

You'll find real coffee in the kitchen, towels where you expect them, and a parking space that's yours. I'm nearby if you need something, and otherwise happy to leave you to the city.

Out the door and into Zadar

What to see in Zadar.
Old streets, salt in the air.

Zadar rewards a slow pace. Limestone streets polished smooth by centuries of feet, coffee beside the Roman Forum, a long lunch on the Riva — and then the waterfront, right as the light goes.

The old town sits on a narrow peninsula, so most of what you came for is within a walk of itself: Roman ruins and Venetian gates, the fish and produce markets in the morning, and the two sound-and-light installations on the quay that Zadar is known for. Further out, the Dalmatian coast opens up — national parks inland, islands offshore, and ferries from the harbour.

The Sea OrganWaves push air through stone pipes beneath the pavement, tuned to the tide.
Greeting to the SunThree hundred glass plates charge all day and light the quay after dark.
The old townA Roman forum, the round church of St Donatus, Five Wells Square and the long stone run of Kalelarga.
Day tripsKrka and Plitvice Lakes inland, the Kornati islands offshore, Paklenica for walking.
